Let's Do This Thing

It's been a long time coming, and the publishing industry looks nothing at all like what it did when I started taking this writing thing seriously, so here I am with my own web page. It's hard to wrap my head around it.

I'm neck-deep in setting up my online presence in preparation for the upcoming publication of my debut novel, The Vessel. The learning curve is a steep one. I'm learning things I never wanted to learn and developing skills I never thought I would need in addition to the writing part. In fact, the writing part is kind of taking a backseat right now as I move toward getting this book on shelves in time for Christmas 2023.

Once upon a time I thought I would write a book, edit it, slap a cover on it, and set it free on Amazon.

Oh, to be that young again.

I've spent the last couple of months learning the myriad things I didn't know I didn't know so that I can develop a plan to launch this thing, and get back to the fun part - writing stories!

I plan on using this site and the newsletter that will be live soon to keep readers updated on the progress of the Colonial Academy sequels, and the early days of my fantasy world and its royal families and lands and traditions and political intrigues and crops and magic skills and...well, you get it.

Right now this is all I've got, but I'm working hard to add content and features and activate links and a newsletter, and all the other things a good author needs to have these days.
